Backstory

The Doppler Shifters design was born when our lead artist – both a motorcycle enthusiast and former physics teacher – was explaining the Doppler effect to his riding buddies. As they discussed how the pitch of a motorcycle engine shifts higher as it approaches and lower as it recedes, someone joked they should start a motorcycle club for science nerds.

Twelve sketches and three prototypes later, this shirt emerged as our most requested design, perfectly blending scientific accuracy with authentic motorcycle culture aesthetics. Though the club may be fictional, the physics is absolutely real – just like the conversations this shirt will start.
